Wanderlust 108 was a full day celebration in support of the mindful movement, featuring a triathlon that included a 5K run/walk, an outdoor yoga flow class, and a guided meditation. Following the triathlon, participants could attend additional activities such as acroyoga, hula hooping, photography workshop, essential oil workshop or a walking meditation. Local vendors offered everything from yoga wheels and mats to organic foods and crafts.
Mindful events are a great introduction into yoga and meditation. You get to try various activities first hand without the long-term commitment of joining a gym or yoga studio. You also get to walk side by side with mindful enthusiast to see what’s all the fuss. It’s eye-opening to see a crowd moving in one accord. If you ever get a chance attend a mindful event.
