Spice of Life

This is for avid tea lovers, detoxers and the adventurous.  I personally use this mix two to three times a week.  It provides a burst of energy as well as get the digestive system moving.  My recipe is one half a teaspoon of cinnamon, one-fourth teaspoon of ginger and a pinch of turmeric.  Add to a cup of steaming hot water and sweetener of your choice.  Some days I uses a little bit of sugar other days its honey.  Below is a list of benefits for each ingredient.

  • Most widely used digestive aid
  • Assist with respiratory alignments such as colds, sinus congestion and bronchitis
  • Aids circulation and helps alleviate anemia
  • Treatment for minor scrapes and cuts

  • Primarily anti-inflammatory herb that fights infections, protects the liver, stimulates gallbladder and scavenges for free radicals
  • Reduces fat, purifies blood and aids circulation
  • Rid the body of intestinal parasites
  • Assist with indigestion, skin disorders, diabetes, arthritis and immune system deficiencies

  • Traditionally used to increase perspiration to cleanse the body, calm nausea and stimulate appetite
  • Aids in motion sickness, upset stomach, indigestion, headaches, common cold, heart disease and memory loss
  • Remedy for inflammation and pain and is also a muscle relaxant
